Nice day sailing on the Bay on Saturday, got the spinnaker flying for a bit…

Cathy and I went down to Duet to check things out and spend the weekend in the city. Nice little getaway, took the spinnaker off the shelf and brought it with us, flew it a little bit, but the wind showed up “all of a sudden” and knocked us around a bit. Nice day though, mid 60’s.

On the way back we stopped by the Sacramento Zoo and had a nice dinner at Spaghetti Factory, but found out that there was snow in Reno and high tailed it up the hill so we could get home before it got too bad. By the time we got to the snow, it had stopped, but it took us 4+ hours to get home from Sacramento, lot’s of crazy drivers, over an hour in traffic just to get to the “chain check” station.

It was worth it though, we enjoyed the weekend.  We love entertaining on board, but it was nice with just the two of us for a change.

Put in a new memory foam mattress topper in the aft cabin, and it’s really comfortable. California King fit perfectly, I was pleasantly surprised by both the easy install and the comfortable nights sleep on Friday and Saturday nights.

I’m looking forward to warmer weather so we  can spend a little more time sailing. Here’s a few pictures from the weekend.
