Pretty rough passage across to West End, there was coast guard alert about a large piling, so I sat on the bow with a big spotlight making sure we didn’t hit any pilings, and there were about 6 foot seas there… Seas started getting taller so I headed back to the cockpit. Not sure how big the waves were, but I quickly discovered that I’d lost my Scopalamine patch and was not feeling well, So, we chummed through the night. After a few hours the tallest of the waves had subsided and we turned on the Autopilot, which steered MUCH better than I.
After daylight and the seas had calmed down, I took this one picture.
By the time we got to West End, we were exhausted, I didn’t sleep all night and we were just beat, so we pulled into the Marina at about 10:30. We checked in, hauled our Bahamian courtesy flag and naps ensued, and continue. There’s WIFI here at the marina, so we may communicate better, but there’s also a hot tub, so we may not!
Time for ISLAND TIME!
